Attack on Titan CTG #21

As promised yesterday, here's a review of Attack on Titan!
I read through all the current chapters of Attack on Titan in about 2 days, and I love it. The series isn't finished yet and I don't see it ending anytime soon. An anime was announced a month or two ago and since I've seen the trailer I've been ecstatic.

The story is that at some point in human history giants appeared and started eating us and has driven us to the edge of extinction. To save ourselves we have taken refuge within walled cities. One day a really big giant comes and fucks things up. There's a lot of people getting eaten by giants and some cool fights.

I think the art is amazing and the story is as well. Since it's a short series so far this is a short review.

Top 10 Sexiest Bleach Babes

Top 10 Sexiest Bleach Babes

Bleach is one of those series that was just made to have hentai made of it. I can't lurk through Bleach Tags on tunblr without being flooded by Orihime's boobs! However, I don't mind it XD! So I have decided to Rank the Bleach girls based on my personal preferences, and general attractiveness.

10. Mila Rose

Mila Rose has probably the skimpiest outfit in Bleach! That is one of the reasons she's on the list, the reason she is ranked so low is because when I think of her, I think of a big bodybuilder which is the opposite of what I like. Another reason is her hair, I'm not the biggest fan of curly hair. Remember this list is based on my personal preferences!

9. Rukia

Rukia would be ranked higher if it weren't for the fact that we don't see that much of her body. Her boobs aren't big enough to show through her shihakusho. That is the only reason.

8. Isane

What can I say, she has boobs. However, she don't see much of her at all! I think in the manga we see more Mila Rose than Isane. But she has big boobs. She also has a really cute hair style... and boobs.

7. Apacci

Apacci is one of my faves because she petite, has boobs, I love her eyes, her hair. She's just a good baseline hotness... however when she transforms that's a different story.

 6. Orihime

The sexiest Orihime was in the Soul Society Arc when she dressed like a Soul Reaper. Until Rukia, Orihime has the boobs to fill out the outfit.

5. Rangiku

Biggest boobs in Bleach? Probably. Most cleavage in Ainme? If not, then damn close.

4. Nemu

Nemu is just attractive. Who doesn't like miniskirts? The shortness her outfit offsets the lacking of boobs.

3. Nel

Oh My God! These last three should all tie for number one! Nel; big boobs, skimpy outfit, she's hot, green hair, boods; she's just so damn awesome!

2. Yoruichi

Two words, "Side Boob!"

1. Halibel

Under Boob! Then her pants, and her transformation.

Top 10 Sword Fighting Anime and Manga

Top 10 Sword Fighting Anime and Manga

Sword fighting anime/manga; samurais, ninjas, soul reapers, and half naked babes; the embodiment of anime/manga. This list was actually really hard to make I had to use both anime and manga.

1. Shigurui
-Artfully done, both anime and manga. Gory, action packed, awesome. (Manga and Anime)

The story begins in 1629 Shizuoka during Tokugawa Tadanaga's rule. The daimyo staged a tournament where the participants fought with real steel Japanese swords rather than bokken ("wooden sword"), against his vassals' strong objection. The story revolves around the first match between the one-armed swordsman Fujiki Gennosuke and the blind samurai Irako Seigen and deals with the circumstances that led the two to participate in Tokugawa's tournament.
---------------------------------Wikipedia---------------------------------------------
Great art in the manga and an artistic approach to the animation in the anime. The fight scenes are great, they have gore and sweet sword techniques. The story is pretty strong, and the characters develop. The anime leave the viewer hanging, where as the manga continues far pass the anime. I enjoyed this series full circle, liking the anime and manga and think it is a work of art. What I particularly like about Shigurui is that there is no real good guys and no real bad guys, each side is justified and are acting in a manner that can perceived as "good/proper".

2. Vagabond
- Realistic art, historical setting, awesome fight scenes. (Manga)

Growing up in the late 16th century Sengoku era Japan, Shinmen Takezo is shunned by the local villagers as a devil child due to his wild and violent nature. Running away from home with a fellow boy at age 17, Takezo joins the Toyotomi army to fight the Tokugawa clan at the battle of Sekigahara. However, the Tokugawa win a crushing victory, leading to nearly three hundred years of Shogunate rule. Takezo and his friend manage to survive the battle, and afterwards swear to do great things with their lives. However, after their paths separate, Takezo becomes a wanted criminal and must change his name and his nature in order to escape an ignoble death. Based on the book Musashi by Eiji Yoshikawa, Vagabond is a fictional retelling of the life of Miyamoto Musashi, often referred to as the "Sword Saint", perhaps the most famous and successful of Japan's sword fighters.
-------------------------------------Wikipedia----------------------------------
A pretty legit manga, Vagabond would be ranked number 1 if it had an anime. Realistic art, more so than Shigurui and most manga, a historical based setting, amazing fight scenes, it really has it all. The manga is pretty long, giving you a longer/larger amount of enjoyment. Even though it is long, it doesn't get stale or dull. As another plus is that it is about Miyamoto Musashi who was a beast, a plain-out awesome dude, the best swordsman ever.

HIROAKI SAMURA'S samurai manga Blade of the Immortal, a blood-soaked tale of the masterless samurai Manji's struggle with the blessing and curse of being immortal, is one the best translated manga available. Samura's stunning art and captivating story is nothing short of wizardry. Like no other action-oriented story, Samura blends in Blade the gore of ultra-violence with light slapstick comedy, gallows humor and deep emotional personal drama. His characters are diverse and three-dimensional, from the nihilistic and cynical Manji, to the orphaned Rin, to the hate-filled killers of the Itto-ryu sword school.

1/2 Prince Manhua Review

1/2 Prince Manhua Review

Not everything is about Japan, Taiwan has awesome stuff too. 1/2 Prince is a Taiwanese comic, called manhua, and it's great. I first read 1/2 Prince when I was camping, I had downloaded all the chapters for some reason, and I enveloped my weekend. (I take my laptop when I go camping) I quickly became a dedicated fan.

The plot is in the future (2100) we have developed advanced technologies and stuff. The story focuses around an virtual reality mmorpg that people play with a headset that they wear when they sleep. The headset sends them into a virtual fantasy world. The main character Feng Lan (girl) is challenged by her brother to beat the game without using the fact that she's a girl to get help. When she first logs on and designs here character she is allowed be a guy (which is a special reward, no one else can be the opposite sex) and starts questing. She meets friends and builds a squad, eventually her character Prince becomes really famous.

I don't read much manhua so I can assume this is one of the best.

The art is the same as the Japanese style, it's well drawn. I guess you could say it looks shojo-y, it makes more of an emphasis on the male character's attractiveness, don't get me wrong the girls are hot.

It's addicting and makes you want to play mmo's, not like WoW but fun ones. Like Ragnarock.

There's a Korean Manhwa about playing mmo's in virtual reality called Yureka which is also really cool, but a little bit darker. I highly reccomend both, even if you don't like mmo's they both have fricken awesome fight scenes. Oh My God! I completely forgot about .Hack! If you take away the player killers, 1/2 Prince is just like .Hack. Yureka is like .Hack right on the nose.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Summary by Mangafox
It is the year 2100 A.D. and humans have invented a virtual reality game called "Second Life". It's amazing that if you go on to a forum about 1/2 Prince everyone will talk about how they want a game like this, but there isn't a game that has half the features of Second Life. Like if I had a million... no a billion dollars to invest I would invest in some dream virtual reality goggles, or even a Matrix setup.

Yureka is just like 1/2 Prince

Yureka Manga Review

Yureka Manga Review

Like 1/2 Prince, Yureka isn't a manga but a manhwa (a Korean comic).

If you read my review of 1/2 Prince, or have seen .HACK, then you already know this comic's story. If you haven't, that's why I'm writing this review. I can't remember if I read this before or after 1/2 Prince, but either way I remember reading this (I still do). I love this genre of comic, and it has really peaked my interest in VR and Programming.

The story follows Roto (Lotto) and his friends as they play a VR mmorpg. This go on quest to level up and try to master their classes (additional ones). The three friends are nortorious in the online world, some of the few people to have mastered a playing class. Rotto, while updating his profile (you have to go to a special place to get a full body scan that is done once a year and is required to play) finds someone's identification card. He goes home and logs in with the card he found, it turns out to be a girls. The next time he logs in the turn that he previously was is there.
Yureka (what he names the girl) accompany him and his friends in quest and helps them out.

This manhwa is really funny and action packed; however, the story does slowly get darker but retains alot of humor. There's many running gags and joke, breaking the 4th wall, and other stuff that can be found on tvtrope. The main character Lotto is evil! He plots and pretty much tortures his friends, he's a smart ass. He's Light, but funny and doesn't kill people.

The story becomes much darker as it continues, with conspiracies and evil organizations popping up. The characters do undergo changes as they progress, some showing a much rougher, cold, side, while others lighten up. The character development is key, as it shows us more of who a character is, and adds to who he/she was, but no longer is. We learn why certain people did things, to put it simply.

As for the rest of the characters there is not much of a division between comic relief and badass, almost every character has their moment. Like this one guy Row is just some guy; becomes a recurring character but just for comic relief; then gets blinded and becomes badass.

The art is good, with details and stuff(?). The girl characters are good looking and some of the men are fangirl accepted. I really can't say anything bad about the art, I quite like it and the style. Action scenes are well draw, doing a good job showing intensity and emotion.

It's hard to pick between the 2 nonjapanese comics, honestly I would read both. Both are addicting and have loveable characters, epic battles, and are about mmorpgs.

Code Geass Season 1 Review

Code Geass Season One Review.

I remember when the first episode of Code Geass aired on Adult Swim (I'm so fucking old!), I don't remember if it aired before or after Death Note, but that doesn't matter. The first thing that stuck me was that it had mechs, a power to control people and that "there's going to be a revolution" feeling (Also the hope that there would be some mind controlled sex.. but it never happened.). The season one premier was a long time ago, like 4 years ago, but I still watch the episodes every now and then because I like them. If you haven't watched it, the way I would describe it would be like this; It's Death Note with mechs, replace the power to kill people with the power to control them; instead of a genius trying to rid the world of evil, it's a genius trying to make the world a better place for his sister and kill his mother's murderers.

The plot is that after Britannica invaded and pretty much raped Japan (Like major rape, like not even funny rape.), they made it into a territory/colony thingy. Britannica is also the leading world power... It's pretty much the British Empire trying to take over the world (agian). The main character Lelouch is a student living in area 11 (conquered Japan), one day he is caught up in a terrorist attack. He meets a mysterious green haired girl, she offers him a contract that would save his life (because the military is closing in and will kill them) he's like "Sure". The soldiers have the two in a corner; one of the is Lelouch's childhood friend, he gets shot (for not wanting to kill his friend). Lelouch uses his Geass to have the soldiers kill themselves, and he escapes. And that is the first episode, and it only goes up hill from there (Great, I made my self sound like a retard! Just watch it and you'll see). Lelouch is actual the 11th prince of Britannica, after there was a plot to kill his mother (which was successful) him and his sister went into hiding in Japan, everybody in the royal family thinks their dead. After Lelouch escapes with the use of the Geass (It makes his eye glow, looks like a bird? and allows him to control people) he goes home and is like "This will help me with my plans" and takes on the persona of Zero and starts getting in with terrorist and revolutionary groups in Japan, and starts fighting Britannica... With giant robots. In short this anime is Three Days Grace's Riot.

So Lelouch pretty much becomes public enemy number one, just to make the world a more peaceful place for his sister and to avenge his mother's death. I'd say a damn good reason (a better reason would be tits but what can I say?).

The character design is done by CLAMP, so it's done well (I'm a CLAMP fan.). Female characters are sexy, well-endowed ~♥~☺~♥~ (THEY HAVE BIG BOOBS). The mechs are awesome too, smaller than Gundams, but still cool. As for animation it's a Sunrise production and I've always liked the studio. Top  notch animation, in my opinion. The atmosphere of the anime perfectly matches the story, music helps and adds to the action (It's no Rise Against).

Seriously it's a great series, I hope that if you haven't watched it then you trust me and do give Code Geass a try. It's enjoyable to watch; thrilling, action packed, humorou, Giant Fighting Robots and Tits! I guess I'm just a Code Geass fanboy.

Out of the two seasons I like the first more, as many people do, but it's not because there was anything wrong with the second it's just, I like seeing Lelouch rise and become Zero.

There is a manga to this anime, 2 actually one just like Code Geass without mechs and the other through Suzaku's (Lelouch's childhood friend) point of view. Both having the same setting just different point of views. The there are few spin-off manga, that have nothing to do with the original (What's better than reading a cool manga? Reading it twice.) .

I really want Code Geass to be on Netflix (Who know's, this is an old ass post so it might be.)so more people can watch it and for the fanbase to grow.
