An anime that makes my cry almost everyday of my life...
No, don't worry, it's not a sad anime, quite the opposite. Then why do I cry? I'll soon tell. FMP! is one of my all time favorite anime. The reason that it makes me so sad is that there may not be another season! Okay I don't cry... sometimes I do but not because of anime... sometimes. I finished all three seasons in about a week a few years ago (about 2), and ever since then I've checked the forums of animesuki about twice a week. Each time is a disapoinment. :(
The story...
It's a mecha anime... which is awesome. The story is about 3 mercenary from the company Mythil who are assigned to watch after a girl, Kanami. They're supposed to be doing it undercover... but there are some snags. Kanami is a whispered, which is a person born with knowledge of "stuff" (like super advanced technology info), which makes them a target for evil organization. There's some school life comedy, kickass mech battles, and a whole bunch of other stuff. There are three seasons; the first that is apart of the main story, a second also apart of the story, and the third which is just funny stories and stuff. The story is dilicate (the plot is strong and well developed it's just hard to talk about.) in that talking about it will give away the story (like the whispered thing isn't talked about until about the fifth episode, not much of a spoiler I guess.). ALOT of funny moments!
The mechs have kickass designs, more plausible than gundam. I mean they're not a thousand feet tall and shoot colony destroying lasers and mass produced. It's easier to get a grasp of what I'm talking about by seeing a picture.
It's one of those shows that you don't want to end and after you wach the final episode you obsess about it and hope they make another. It's originally a light novel and they made the seasons based of the first few books, they haven't finished the story through the anime. I think the the novel series may be done... and with that is the hope that they might make a new episode.

The above rating is only partially based on fanboy-dom. This anime really does have it all, and what is has it uses great. There's a perfect mix of kick ass fights, teen awkward romance, and comedy. The dubbing is another thing I like, it had some of my favorite voice actors in it (Vic Mignogna, Allison Keith, Hilary Haag, and Chris Paton... so the main cast.). The animation is pretty good as well.
