The story follows the daily lives of four girls, with the main character being Konata. Konata is an otaku, spending much of her time playing online games, watching anime and reading manga. To fund her obsession she works at a cosplay cafe. Of her group of friends she is the shortest, but to offset that she says that her body type is in "demand" aswell. Her and her friends hangout and go on average adventures and generally do teenage girl stuff.
The style of the art is that of not using standard or real proportions, their heads are much more out of proportion with their bodies than in average anime. Their kinda like chibis. But I think the lack of realism helps make the serious more comical, any other style wouldn't work with the story and this type of humor. As a side not; When I started watching this series I literally said, out loud, "This series is not hentai-able. And if there is any Lucky Star hentai, than it shouldn't exist." ~_~* And guess what... sadly enough there is, but this is neither the time nor place.
The series is funny, it doesn't really try to deal with any teen problems, just funny. The humor is more like; it's funny because it's true, I've never thought of it that way, and anime references. There are recurring themes, characters and gags. The characters themselves are cute and funny, mainly girls... there might only be two guy characters. If you want to be sad go watch Clannad but if you want to laugh watch Lucky Star.

I don't really know what else to add to this review; it's all episodic so there's know real plot, it's really just a gag comedy (maybe)... hmm... Konata is in it so watch.
...I know! I currently suffering from Computer Vision Syndrome, I have the biggest fucking headache ever, eyes heard, and I sick to my stomach. It's pretty funny, I guess.
