Shin Chan Review
Shin Chan!
I love this fucking kid! He's so fucking funny! Fuck! Seriously this anime is just... ah! I love it. I'm sure if I ever wrote a professional review that said "fuck" as many times as I just did it probably wouldn't be published... When this show was on Adult Swim I never missed an episode.
This anime is about a little boy (Shin) that, I guess you could say, is perverted and rude. He says perverted and naughty jokes, does obscene things. In general the series is like a Japanese South Park, but with less sattire and no political overtones. It does make light of some social problems but not in a self-righteous way, only for humor.
The art style is... Shin Chan, that's how you describe it. Right after the raunchy humor, the art is what I think about when people say Shin Chan.
The humor really is directly toward adult, children won't understand most of the jokes. There's running gags, like Hiro's incompetence. Pop culture references, and word play like the insane kendo sensei calling Shin Dildor (dildo). The episodes are funny and do use some sattire (but not in that asshole Family Guy way). Shin Chan does a lot of parody episodes, like a Star Wars episode.
Story time! On my sixteenth (maybe fifteenth) birthday I went shopping and bought some anime. In this lot were a few DBZ movies, the first season of Bleach, and Shin Chan Season 1 part 1. This anime is so great that I bought it!
If you really want to laugh uncontrollably watch Shin Chan.
...That was really short.

Summary by Justdubs:
Crayon Shin-chan follows the wacky antics and adventures of five-year-old Shinnosuke "Shin" Nohara and his parents, neighbors, and friends and is set in Kasukabe, Saitama Prefecture, Japan.
Many of the jokes in the series stem from Shin-chan's occasionally weird, unnatural and inappropriate use of language, as well as from his inappropriate behavior. A typical gag involves Shin-chan confounding his parents by using the wrong phrase for the occasion; for example, saying "Welcome back!" instead of "I am back!" when he comes home.
During the beginning of the series, the TV show was mostly based on the storyline in the original manga. As the show progressed, more and more episodes became anime-original.
Summary by MangaFox:
The series follows the antics of a five year-old boy Shinnosuke Nohara, his parents, neighbours, and friends. This story is set in Kasukabe, Saitama Prefecture, Japan. The show is called "Crayon Shin-chan" because "crayon" signifies the fact that it is a tool commonly used by kindergartners and that Shin-chan goes to kindergarten. "Shin-chan" is the affectionate name for the main character.
